dc.description.resumo	Esta pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo a obra do novelista Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, O Grande Gatsby [The Great Gastby] (1925), tendo como objetivo descrever e analisar as questões de gênero encontradas na narrativa, sob a perspectiva feminista, usando os conceitos teóricos de Zolin (2005), Moreira (1993) entre outros autores. Também será discutido a cerca das mudanças e transições pelas quais os Estados Unidos estavam passando naquele momento e que são representadas na narrativa, como o surgimento do Jazz, a prosperidade pós Primeira Guerra, a lei seca, a condição da mulher do século em que se passa a narrativa, e como ela é representada na obra. Serão analisadas tanto as personagens femininas quanto masculinas, a fim de se ressaltar como ambas são retratadas e como se configuram os conflitos existentes entre os gêneros.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstract	This research‟s corpus is the masterpiece of the American novelist Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby (1925). Its main objective is to describe and analyze the gender relations in narrative, from a feminist perspective. So, it will use the theoretical concepts of Zolin (2005), Moreira (1993), among others. It will also be described aspects of changes and transitions that the United States passed at the time of the plot and that are represented in Fitzgerald‟s novel. Some of them are: the emergence of The Jazz Age, the Post First War prosperity, the American prohibition law, women‟s condition in the XX century America and how they are represented in the narrative. It will be analyzed the gender relations, highlighting as both men and women are portrayed.	pt_BR
