Analisamos as relações de gênero exercidas nas festas rurais e as violências físicas e simbólicas sofridas por mulheres naquela época. Estudaram-se os códigos sociais que desencadearam as práticas de violência contra as mulheres num espaço público destinado a descontração, investigando como se dava as relações entre gêneros feminino e masculino em meados do século XX. |
| Abstract: | This undergraduate thesis aims to present an analysis from the cultural history and the study of gender about the conflicts occurred during the realization of the festivities known as "Forró" in the rural areas around the country of Pombal - PB, during the years 1960 to 1980. We analyzed the gender relations exercised in rural festivals and the physical and symbolic violence suffered by women at that time. We studied the social codes that triggered the practices of violence against women in a public space intended to relax, investigating how the relationships between women and men occurred in the middle of the 20th century. |
