Abstract

The racial identity and the construction of femininity, in certain cultures and social contexts, can be visualized or invisible. That way? How does the process of constitution of the feminine dimension in identity of women African descent/ black women? There are links between the dimensions of female identity African descent and arrival to the teaching career? As occur these joints? In order to reflect on these issues, the survey examined educational trajectories of 10 teachers afro that act in the municipality of saint John of Piaui. The light of the contributions of Ferreira (2010), Hall (2006), Castels (2008) guiding the understanding of the processes of constitution of identity interwoven the cultural attributes; Kehl (2010), Beauvoir (1975), Laurel (2008), Bomfim (2010), wich motivated the "social construction of femininity" and its implications between gender relations and the labor market; Gomes (1995, 2002), Boakari (2003; 2010) and Munanga (1988) underpinned the analyzes on the interweaving between race, Class and gender in the history of women teachers afro and the importance of research on their trajectories. The research was guided by the principles and methodology of the History of Life that guided the choice of the narrative interview as a technique for harvesting the narratives of the teachers (CHIZZOTTI, 2006; SCHÜTZE, 1977; BERTAUX, 2010). The analyzes indicate that the constitution of femininities tightly connected of interlocutors, although crossed by patriarchal values, is being influenced by values of women with profile offensive in the context of the family. The teaching profession and of social organizations.
