Racismo e civilização: o personagem Tex nas histórias em quadrinhos (HQs).

Abstract

This is an edition of a magazine that aims to analyze some comics, especially Tex editions, with the purpose of demonstrating that these comics, as weil as being an important source of information and cultural formation, implicitly, a racist, imperialist content and territorial disputes and power. Therefore, our theoretical support was based on authors such as: Nunes (2013); McCIoud (2005); Goida / Kleinert (2011); Guedes (2003) and Pomari (2011). Our research is characterized as bibliographical, since for its realization it makes the uses of Books and Comics. We find that racism, as well as other themes Imperialism, is present in many comics, presenting a context where as the most disadvantaged classes are always on a plateau below the great imperialists. The study also revealed that as Tex Comics shows a duality of the main character in his ethnic group and you are the government (by this character as a Ranger) prevailing his ruling in favor of the government, demonstrating that the gains are always aimed at the government, in an attempt to avoid disputes and wars between the two.
