A importância dos trabalhados de campo e dos estudos do meio para o ensino da Geografia.

Abstract

Fieldwork and environmental studies are important tools for teaching, learning, researching and understanding geographic science. In this sense, this work has as its main objective to show the importance of fieldwork and environmental studies for teaching, learning and understanding geography, and all its aspects, making this important resource more widely used by teachers; helping students to better understand our planet and its dynamics; whether natural or social. This was done through a bibliographical research, of a qualitative nature, where several textual works on the theme of "fieldwork" and "environmental studies" were analyzed. Through the bibliographical survey, it was possible to demonstrate the evolution and use of fieldwork over the years, with different purposes and in different currents and schools of thought, shaping geographic thought and knowledge as we know it today. In addition, this work shows us the numerous difficulties encountered when doing and executing fieldwork, in addition to the various stages that build fieldwork, and how following these stages is of great importance in order to achieve good execution and good results. In addition to fieldwork, another important geographical teaching tool mentioned is environmental study. This paper will therefore show a little more about environmental study, showing its use in Brazilian geography over the years, its concepts and methodologies, and thereby showing the differences between environmental study and fieldwork. The use of fieldwork in the teaching and learning of geography is of great importance, because through it the student gets to know natural and human aspects only seen in the classroom, having contact with realities different from their own, getting to know new aspects, places and people, allowing the student to have new experiences, giving him a new perspective on the world and geography, making him a critical citizen and knowledgeable about the dynamics of the planet.
