Centro de Vida Nordeste: experiência de voluntariado e educação contextualizada no fundamental I, da Escola Maria de Lourdes Nunes de Menezes em Prata/PB.

Abstract

This article is a report of an action research experience towards the conclusion of the Specialization in Contextualized Education for Coexistence with the Semi-Arid in the city of Prata PB, aiming to report the experience lived during a period of voluntary work at the NGO Centro Vida Nordeste and practical classes developed at the Maria de Lourdes Nunes de Menezes School, in the year 2023. Located in the city of Prata-PB, the Center is located in a region considered to be of extreme ecological importance for the region, this institution is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices that aim to harmonize the relationship between rural people and the caatinga biome. With a mission focused on socio-environmental development, Centro Vida Nordeste, in addition to the many projects developed, stands out for the use and dissemination of innovative and low-cost social technologies. The learning gained here is a testament to the human potential to adapt and thrive in harmony with our natural world, confirming the importance of continuing to explore and improve these practices for the benefit of current and future generations.
