Impactos do isolamento social durante pandemia de COVID-19 em crianças e adolescentes.

Abstract

The research in question is a study on the impacts of social isolation during the COVID- 19 pandemic on the health of children and adolescents. This health measure caused several changes in the routine of young people that caused important repercussions. This work aims to identify impacts on the health of children and adolescents caused by social isolation. This is an integrative review of the literature, carried out based on searches in the electronic databases SCIELO, VHL and PubMed, using the descriptors Social isolation/isolation social/social isolation and child/niño/child and teenager/adolescente/adolecent together with COVID-19 descriptor, between the years 2023 and 2024. Therefore, the research found that social isolation drastically affected the mental health of children and adolescents, exacerbating underlying pathologies, preventing the achievement of adequate treatments and decreasing the amount of physical activities carried out by young people.
