???metadata.dc.description.resumo???:	Este trabalho tem por finalidade o estudo teórico e experimental da melhor seção transversal de caçambas de caminhões graneleiros, para otimização do projeto em termos de fluxo e volume de rações animais nestas unidades. Para tanto foram determinadas experimentalmente as propriedades de fluxo das rações, e avaliada teoricamente a relação entre o volume real e o volume nominal de diversas seções transversais de caçambas existentes. As conclusões do trabalho indicam a inadequação dos modelos comerciais, sendo proposto uma perfil otimizado
Abstract:	This work aim to the theoretical and experimental study of the best profile of truck buckets analysing the flow and real capacity of this units. To this purpose the principal flow properties of bulk solids were determined and the ratio between the real and nominal volumes of various standard cross sections were analysed. The conclusions shows that the most commercial buckets have inadequate profiles and a best profile was proposed.
