Degradação ambiental ao longo da alça sudoeste da cidade de Campina Grande.

Abstract

It was aimed at with that work to use techniques of Remote Sensoriamento and SIG to accomplish the evaluation of the environmental degradation in the Southwest loop of the city of Campina Grande, with base in the images of Landsat - 5 of the year of 1989 and images of the Google earth of 2006. It was observed that the area in study is located in an interface area among the rural and urban way. The environmental degradation is directly related with the man's action on the environment, in other words, in the way as the man appropriates of the environmental resources without a control on the same ones, therefore, the area is suffering an environmental degradation due to that urban expansion without control and without fiscalization. Areas are deforested, material of the soil is removed for the building site, garbage played to open sky without collection and lack of basic sanitation in the outlying communities, all those are problems related to the expansion. One of the serious problems found in the area was the "I fill with earth bathroom", located in the greenest and high area of the area and committing the resources hidric. It was observed that in the last years the Southwest loop is suffering a lot with that degradation, we can find areas in process of formation of desertificacion nucleus and more and more degraded areas are going appearing. Therefore the decisive factors for the environmental degradation of the area went to the material retreat to the building site, and the lack of a fiscalization politics and of control.
