Relatos de memória e identidade étnico-racial do quilombo do grilo (2006-2016).

Abstract

In this work we try to understand through the reports of the residents of the quilombo community of Grilo, how they appropriated the past to fight for present-day politics. In this sense, we made use of oral history, searching through the memory, which is still linked to the slave past, information that could respond to our longings. In the first moment we weave a historiographical discussion about the research already done on the community of Grilo. These researches deal with various topics such as social policies and identity, women's leadership, the process of self-identification of the community among others. In the second moment I analyze the oral reports of this community, trying to understand how they appropriate the memory to build their history and achieve improvements for all of the region. In the third and last moment, I try to understand the whole historical process that the inhabitants of the quilombola community of Grilo have gone from identification to the right to titration in 2016, as well as the possible internai conflicts that exist. From this research we can verify that despite the changes that occurred in this region, including the document of land tenure that this community received, many things need to be achieved, especially better accessibility for the residents.
