| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | O estudo foi desenvolvido com as famílias da Comunidade Agreste localizada no município de Itaporanga Estado da Paraíba na Microrregião Homogênea Depressão do Alto Piranhas. O trabalho objetivou analisar as vulnerabilidades social, econômica, tecnológica e a seca da comunidade, a partir de questionários aplicados às famílias, e a relação dos resultados com a degradação dos recursos naturais. Os resultados encontrados para as vulnerabilidades social, econômica, tecnológica e a seca foram respectivamente, 48%, 79%, 58% e 60%, revelando que a área possui uma vulnerabilidade MUITO ALTA (> 45%), apesar de existir algumas famílias menos vulneráveis. Com relação à degradação das terras os resultados mostram que ela é resultante da não aplicação de práticas de conservação dos solos agrícolas pelos agricultores e pecuaristas; das fortes limitações socioeconômicas das famílias; da falta de uma infraestrutura de mitigação dos efeitos da seca e de políticas públicas adequadas para a convivência com o semi-árido. |
| Abstract: | This study was developed with the families of the Agreste Community located in the municipality of Itaporanga, State of Paraíba. The work aimed the analysis of the social, economical, technological and drought vulnerabilities, through the application of a questionnaires to the families, and the establishment of the relationship between the vulnerabilities and land degradation. The results for the social, economical, technological and drought vulnerabilities were, respectively, 48%, 79%, 58% and 60%, revealing that the area has a VERY HIGH index of vulnerabilities (> 45%), although are presenting some less vulnerable families. With relation to the land degradation the results show that it is resultant of not applications of ground conservation practices by the farmers; of the strong socioeconomic limitations of the families; of the lack of a infrastructure of drought mitigation and of a public polices adjusted for the coexistence with the semi-arid. |
