Análise do uso de diferentes diâmetros na caracterização da estrutura da vegetação arbustiva - arbórea de caatinga.

Abstract

Analysis of the use of different diameters in the characterization of the structure of the shrub - arboreal vegetation of caatinga. Because the caatinga presents many different physiognomic types, especially in relation to the size, species composition and density of individuals, it has undergone changes in its structure. In this sense, this study aimed to analyze the use of different diameters obtained in caatinga vegetation in order to characterize it, and therefore to compare the vegetation structure based on these different diameters. The study area was part of Tamanduá Farm, owned by Mocó Agropecuaria Ltda company. Located in the municipality of Santa Teresinha (PB). Twenty five (25) 20m x 20m (400 m²) sampling units were sampled where a floristic and phytosociological survey was systematically conducted. Sampling units in the data were collected from individuals who had a circumference of CAP ≥ 6 cm and a height greater than 1.30 m. A total number of 2362 individuals were sampled for the variables DNB and DAPeq and 3427 individuals for the variable DAP shaft, which belong to 22 species and 14 families, being Euphorbiaceae, Fabacea, Caesalpinioideae, Fabaceae and Mimosoideae the most representative in the area studied. The species that had higher numbers of individuals were Poincianella pyramidalis and Croton sonderianus. Considering the habit of the species found, 68% could be considered as trees and 32% shrubs. For volume estimates for different diameters showed a considerable difference between the volumes obtained from DNB and the estimates obtained from the DAP shaft and DAPeq, altering the volumetric calculations for management plans.
