dc.description.resumoEsta dissertação é composta por dois capítulos que abordam a termografia de infravermelho em ovinos. O primeiro capítulo é uma revisão de bibliográfica sobre os princípios e cuidados na produção de termogramas, com ilustrações na espécie ovina. O segundo capítulo refere-se a um estudo termográfico de ovelhas com acidose lática rumenal onde a termografia infravermelha foi utilizada na tentativa de auxiliar no diagnóstico dessa disfunção digestiva. Foram realizados termogramas na região do flanco, com média térmica 34,21 ± 1,90 ºC, e na região ocular, com média de 36,50 ± 0,81 ºC. Não houve alteração na imagem termográfica nem na média térmica entre os animais controle e teste nas condições deste experimento.pt_BR

dc.description.abstractThis dissertation consists of two chapters that approach the infrared thermography in sheep. The first chapter is a bibliographical review on the principles and precautions in the production of thermograms, with illustrations in the sheep species. The second chapter refers to a thermographic study of sheep with ruminal lactic acidosis where infrared thermography was used in an attempt to help diagnose this digestive dysfunction. Thermograms were performed in the flank region, with a thermal mean of 34.21 ± 1.90 ºC, and in the ocular region, with an average of 36.50 ± 0.81 ºC. There was no changing in the formation of the thermographic image and in the thermal mean between the control and test animals under the conditions of this experiment.pt_BR
